My weight fluctuates a lot and I just want to be able to keep it stable around 115 lbs. I want to be skinny, but I also want to be healthy. I plan on gaining back muscle mass in my arms and legs while keeping my stomach flat. Basically, I want to test my limits and see how much I can improve.

I went for a twenty minute run today, success!

My only problem… Shin splints/pulling my peroneus longus (I think that is the right term). Any suggestions on how to help with that?

My eating habits are also back on track. I am cutting down on my alcoholic intake, eating grilled chicken like there’s no tomorrow, eating carbs but not as much, and eating much more fruits and veggies. I actually started eating broccoli… I hate broccoli. My fruit of choice is still strawberries, but I have been trying to broaden my horizons with melon and grapes but I could still do better. The only veggies I eat really are carrots, broccoli, lettuce, and asparagus. I put tomatoes on my sandwich yesterday, though (fruit, right? I never completely understood tomatoes). I eat the occasional egg whites and I really want to start eating more yogurt. I really wish my school would invest in some plain, vanilla yogurt, but I might just have to go out and buy some on my own.

I just want to tell everyone about my super awesome day yesterday, since I finally got back to the gym after a long week of stress and not going.

Yesterday, I went to the gym and did:

  • Primarily machines
  • Leg press (3x10 85 lbs - the next jump is 100, they don’t have increments on the leg press machine upstairs which I think is weird)
  • hip abduction & hip adduction (3x10 70 lbs and 3x10 50lbs - definitely need to work on this)
  • hamstring curls (3x10 70 lbs)
  • Shoulder press (2x10 30 lbs + 1x10 50 lbs)
  • Chest press (3x10 50 lbs)
  • Tricep Pull down (3x10 40 lbs)
  • Bicep curls (3x10 10 lbs)
  • Then I did my ab exercises; circuit 3x20 for 3 different exercises and then seated oblique twist with 10 lb medicine ball 20-30-40

And after ALL THAT, I went running for a good 25 minutes around campus. How freaking sweet. I felt so good afterwards and today I am super sore so I feel AWESOME.

I definitely need to get my numbers up. I am far from my numbers last year around this time… But I was also a lot stronger then (125 lbs) from playing soccer. We will see how this goes!

Oh, and I am weighing in at 115.5 lbs.
